How to practise fearless dana

Practising fearless dana will enable us to enjoy good health, according to Buddhism. We can practise this form of dana by not killing animals or birds for food. Taking vegetarian meals is considered practicing fearless dana, too. If one of our friends is scared of the dark and dare not go home, we can accompany him or her until she or he reaches home. This act is considered practising fearless dana because we have made him or her fearless or not scared anymore by our accompanying him or her home.
